Shirley’s Crockpot Short Ribs

  • 4 lbs. beef short ribs
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 12 oz. jar beef gravy
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 lb. frozen bell peppers and onions, thawed and drained
  • 1/2 tsp. dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp. dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
In 3-4 quart crockpot, place ribs and sprinkle with pepper. In medium bowl, mix gravy and barbecue sauce and pour over top. Cover crockpot and cook on low for 9-11 hours until beef is tender.Skim fat from surface of liquid in crockpot. Add bell peppers, onions, herbs, and paprika to slow cooker and cover and cook on high 40-50 minutes until hot. Serve vegetables and sauce with ribs.
