Chatham-Kent is due for a bit of a warm up after receiving nearly 20cm of snow earlier this week.

Desjanelle Matthews, Severe Weather Meteorologist with Environment Canada says above-freezing temperatures are on the way.

“It could be melting a little bit for a few days, two to three days potentially,” Matthews says. “We’re going to see some melting and compacting, as to whether it will all melt, I’m not sure of that, but there probably will be some banks left after a bit of a warm up next week.”

Matthews says it’s too early to tell if we’ll have a white Christmas, but temperatures should be back below zero at that time.
