A local church is working on becoming a community hub.

Reverend Wanda Winfield of the Blenheim United Church says they’re looking for more organizations to share their space.

“If, at some point, the municipality decides to relocate services, they’re talking about about community hubs as well,” Winfield says. “This would be a great centre to operate everything from health, welfare, education.”

The 19,000-square foot space is already home to youth groups, a nursery, sports organizations, and more.

The building includes a worship space as well as a library, kitchen, gymnasium, and meeting rooms.

Winfield says they’re open to hearing from anyone who’d like to share their space, including crafters, home business operators, and artists.
