municipal-servicesWith the municipality’s draft budget up for discussion over the next few weeks, a Wallaceburg Councillor is hoping more local residents will get involved in the process.

Councillor Jeff Wesley says if anyone has any questions about the budget, to come to an open house,

“There’s going to be an open house in Wallaceburg on Thursday. There will be a short presentation on the budget and there’s going to be a question and answer session. I encourage those who have an interest in the budget to come out and if you have any specific questions or concerns, that’s the perfect time to ask the budget committee.”

As it stands, the draft budget calls for a tax hike of 1.96%, but that number could change before the fiscal blueprint is finalized.
