Drug trafficking charges have been laid against a Chatham man.

The accused was pulled over on Wellington Street last night.

Chatham-Kent Police say the 39-year-old was driving with a suspended license, but while being placed under arrest, the officer also found some suspected crystal meth, digital scales, and plastic baggies.

Authorities say the man’s vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded.

He’ll face the charges in court next month.
