Municipal offices, including service counters, will be closed on Friday April 3 and Monday April 6 for the Easter holiday weekend. Other services are scheduled as follows:

 

      • EMERGENCY SERVICES – Police, Fire and Ambulance are operational 24 hours a day every day and are accessible by dialling “911” for emergency calls only.
      • LIBRARIES – All branches of the Chatham-Kent Public Library will be closed Friday April 3 and Monday April 6. Branches will be open regular business hours on Saturday April 4.
  • RECREATION FACILITY OPERATIONS – Blenheim Arena is open each day of the Easter weekend for scheduled ice bookings. Thames Campus Arena in Chatham is closed Friday and open Saturday through Monday for scheduled ice bookings. All other arenas are closed for the season, except for scheduled floor bookings.
      • SWIMMING POOLS – Both the Blenheim Gable Rees Rotary Pool and Wallaceburg Sydenham Pool will be closed Friday, April 3 (Good Friday) and Sunday, April 5 (Easter Sunday). Each pool will have its regular schedules for Saturday, April 4 and Monday, April 6. The Wallaceburg Sydenham Pool will have a free Open Swim Monday, April 6 from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM.
  • CULTURAL SERVICES – Ridge House Museum is closed. The Thames Art Gallery and Chatham-Kent Museum will be closed on Friday and open from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The Box Office will be closed Friday through Monday and re-open Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM and administration offices will be closed Friday through Monday and re-open Tuesday morning at 9:00 AM.
  • CEMETERY OPERATIONS will be closed on Friday and Monday. Cemetery staff will be on call to handle cemetery business for funeral home operations on Saturday and Monday between the hours of 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM.
  • GARBAGE AND RECYCLING – Collection services will only be affected by the Good Friday holiday April 3. Those residents who would normally receive curbside collection on Friday April 3 will receive it on Saturday April 4. There are no collection changes for the week of April 6 (Easter Monday). Please refer to the Residential Recycling and Waste Collection Calendar for further details.
  • TRANSFER STATIONS/LEAF AND YARD – The Harwich Transfer Station, Wallaceburg Transfer Stations and Chatham Leaf and Yard Depot will be closed on Good Friday April 3 but open on Easter Monday April 6.
  • TRANSIT – All CK Transit services (Conventional, Inter-urban and Accessible) will not be operating on Friday April 3 due to the statutory holiday.
  • The HEALTH AND FAMILY SERVICES building (located at 435 Grand Avenue West, Chatham), providing Employment and Social Services/Ontario Works, Housing Services, Public Health and Children’s Services will be closed Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
  • PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES (including Clinic Services located at 177 King Street East, Chatham) – These services are closed Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Essential public health services are available by calling 1-866-446-8207.
  • RIVERVIEW GARDENS – Reception and Administrative offices will be closed Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, but services, activities and visiting hours continue as normal over the holiday weekend. Nursing staff can be reached 24/7 by calling 519.352.4823.
  • ENTEGRUS (electricity) will be closed Friday through Monday inclusive. In case of emergencies, customers can call 1-866-804-7325.
  • PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION (PUC) will be closed Friday through Monday inclusive. The emergency call number is 519-352-6300.
