There is a ban on open fires in Chatham-Kent now in place.
CK Fire and Emergency Services cited the lack of rain and hot dry conditions for issuing the ban.
That goes for residents with a permit as well as all agricultural burns, and recreation campfires.
The ban is in place until further notice.
