While the final tally isn’t known quite yet, officials with the Foundation of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance are pleased with this year’s Christmas Wish Tree campaign.

Lighting ceremonies were held in Chatham and Wallaceburg last night.

Jim King is the Foundation’s Secretary Treasurer, and says the campaign is going well so far.

“We do have a goal that we’re trying to achieve by the end of March to fulfill the obligation we’ve have with the hospital to get the equipment that we identified three or four years ago,” King says. “We’re looking to the community to help us reach that goal and this Christmas Wish Tree is a great start for helping us finish the race.”

Money raised through the Wish Tree campaign supports the Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal campaign, specifically targeted toward mammography systems.
