A brief struggle with a woman and police officers means more charges for a 30-year-old Chatham area man.

According to the Chatham-Kent Police, the man who is known to police, was seen driving a car last month. Normally not a big deal, but in this case one of the conditions of his release was to not drive.

The man was spotted Tuesday morning, and when officers attempted to speak to the man, he grabbed the woman he was with and held a pair of scissors to her neck.

After a brief scuffle with the woman and police, he was arrested and charged with weapons and breach of conditions offences.
