Margaret Trudeau is paying a visit to Chatham-Kent in the new year to talk about mental illness. margaret-trudeau

Marjorie Crew with Family Service Kent says having lived with bi-polar disorder in the public eye, Trudeau has played a huge role in battling the stigma associated with mental health issues.

“We’re having her here to talk about her story dealing with bi-polar, mental illness, how she worked to get her life back,” Crew says. “Dealing with mental health issues and being a young mother in that very public eye and going through life married to a Prime Minister, losing a son, what a life that created for her.”

The fundraiser for Family Service Kent will be held at the Capitol Theatre on February 24th.

Tickets can be purchased through the Cultural Centre box office or online at cktickets.com.
