The Municipality began looking into reconstruction Bloomfield Road between Richmond Street and Riverview Drive back in 2001. Since then, several businesses have developed in the area, giving the municipality an opportunity to begin the road reconstruction.

Municipal officials say the work will cost more than $5-million dollars, with the funds coming from various lifecycle budgets.

Included in the road reconstruction are the installation of new sewer lines, a fibre optic conduit, a three metre wide multi-use trail, and street lighting.

Officials say the work will start in August and should be done in November of this year.
