Who says politicians and media members can’t work together to get things done?

Following a few hours of steady rain yesterday, CKXS reporter Barry Wright’s vehicle became struck in the mud of parking area outside a tent at the International Plowing Match and Rural Expo.

After several minutes of unsuccessful rocking back and forth to free the vehicle from the ever deepening ruts, who should appear to help but Federal Agriculture Minister, Lawrence MacAulay, who had just finished a series of media interviews inside the tent.

Following a few strong heaves, Wright’s vehicle was freed from the mud and he was on his way…..leaving behind the Minister and his team covered with mud from head to toe.

We wonder if there’s an app he can use to send Minister MacAulay a few bucks for dry cleaning.
