Chatham-Kent Police have wrapped up their investigations into a pair of collisions earlier this year by laying charges.

On June 22nd, a car collided with a van carrying 10 people near Thamesville, sending all 11 people to hospital.

Authorities now say the 41-year-old driving the van has been charged with careless driving and missing a stop sign.

Meantime back on May 28th, a car pulling out of Chatham’s Nortown Plaza struck a 63-year-old woman on the sidewalk.

The victim was sent to hospital in London with serious injuries – she’s been moved back to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, but is still recovering.

The driver, a 79-year-old Chatham man, is facing careless driving charges.
