water-faucet1Wallaceburg’s wastewater plant is getting a bit of an upgrade, thanks to the provincial and federal governments.

MP Bev Shipley says more than $125,000 is going into replacing the screw pumps.

Shipley says this is good for not only the residents of Wallaceburg, but for economic development as well.

“It’s an upgrade to the control plant so I think that’s really important in a number of ways,” notes Shipley. “To make sure the security of the water system is in place in Wallaceburg, not only for the residents but for the businesses.”

This is one of 12 grants that were approved in southwestern Ontario through the Clean Water and Wastewater Fund.
