dogOver $5,400 has been raised to support animals in need in Wallaceburg.

ARF fundraising volunteer, Mary Ann Holland says about 180 people took part in the 9th annual fundraiser dinner, with proceeds supporting pets in care at the animal shelter.

“The medical needs for the animals that come in, flea and tick and mange treatment and all of those kinds of things,” says Holland. “We raise money to take care of that and raise those animals up to an adoptable state so they can go to their forever homes.”

While donations are accepted to support animal care throughout the year, this is the main fundraiser for the local shelter.

Donations can be dropped off at K-9 Clips in Wallaceburg or the shelter on Arnold Street.
