The 15th Annual Retrofest is this weekend in downtown Chatham. 
The annual event is not only a huge draw locally, but has become a touchstone for people outside the municipality as well.
“It’s really an event that puts Chatham-Kent on the map,” says Ward Six Councillor Brock McGregor. “It draws a lot of people downtown and it really signifies the start of that summer season.”
McGregor says the festival has grown from a very Chatham-specific event to a substantial tourism draw.
“It’s not the same old thing you can find anywhere,” McGregor says. “It’s something draws people from all over Ontario, outside of Ontario, and it really gives Chatham-Kent a unique identity.”
Retrofest kicks off with games and entertainment in Tecumseh Park today, and the classic car cruise tonight.
