Local police are trying to raise awareness about safety on the water. 
An interactive display will be set up between 9 and 2 today at the westbound Tilbury OnRoute 401 service centre kicking off Safe Boating Week.
Authorities say they keys to safe boating include always wearing a life jacket, don’t drink and boat, and always be prepared for anything.
Today’s information booth is in partnership with the OPP, Chatham-Kent Police, and the Canadian Coast Guard.
