Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit says no criminal charges are being laid against any Chatham-Kent Police officer after an incident last year.
Back on June 30th, 2017, officers were called to a residence to check on the well-being of a 43-year-old man.
Officers found the man in the backyard where he allegedly doused himself in gasoline and set himself on fire, suffering third degree burns.
The SIU now says there are no reasonable grounds to lay criminal charges against any of the officers involved.
