It was a big day at St. Clair College Friday as they cut the ribbon on the new 2.1 million dollar Powerline course facility.

Program Coordinator Doug Bendal says “the infrasctructure in Ontario is getting older, and so are the people that maintain it. The people are gonna retire, the baby boom generation, my generation are starting to step into their twilight years, and all the students are looking for a chance to back fill.”

The 6500 square foot facility includes a climbing lab, a earning centre,  and bays for multiple service trucks.

There are currently 144  first and second year students enrolled in the course making it the largest in the Province.
