The South Wallaceburg Action Team, also known as ‘SWAT’, is looking for some dedicated members.

The group – which has been around for a little over a year – focuses on tackling local community issues.

Facilitator Marjorie Crew, who also founded East Side Pride in Chatham, says this is a great opportunity for local residents.

“What we need is some consistent folks to come out and help build this,” Crew says. “If you want to have a good, solid community association, to be a voice for your community, whether it’s safety, whether it’s making some good things happen and making things better for your community, you need citizen engagement.”

If you’re interested in joining SWAT, you can find them on Facebook.
