This weekend was the Dresden Canadian Cancer Society’s 20th anniversary, and what an anniversary it was! In celebration of their 20th anniversary they decided to host “The Greatest Tractor Parade: Farmers Driving Out Cancer!” The purpose of the parade was to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society, and to add some fun they decided to try to break the Guinness World Record for the “largest parade of farm tractors”. The current record was 601 tractors, held by Sterling, ON.

99.1 FM CKXS is proud to announce that the new record that is held by Southwestern Ontario is 1,231 tractors that participated in the Largest Tractor Parade EVER! Way to go Chatham-Kent, and a big thank you to everyone that helped out, we created the new Guinness World Record for the biggest Tractor Parade ever!
The parade committee that made this all possible was organized by Ken Richards, includes Cheryl Cameron, Gordon Hardy, Linda Harris, Keith Jaques, Jamie McGrail, Rachel Macleod, Dave Northcott, Janice Paddick & Ron Swackhammer and more.
All the proceeds from the parade went to The Canadian Cancer Society, and this could not of been possible without the help of all the individuals who participated and raised money for the Farmers Driving Out Cancer Parade!
It was a HUGE success and 99.1 FM CKXS wants to thank everyone who made this Record Breaking weekend possible!
