What a group we have in Wallaceburg. They are called the bag ladies and they make many great things for people in third world countries out of Milk Bags!!!!! It is unbelieveable to see blankets they make, and how many milk bags will not be going into a land fill – Way to go ladies!!! If you are interested in helping the cause it is not just for ladies. They meet every Monday at Our Lady of Help in the Pharish Centre from 9am- noon. Not only do they make these blankets from milk bags but they make diapers, clothing, bags and washclothes which require other materials, so if you have Cotton Fabric Scraps, Flannel, or Yarn laying around the house don’t throw them away! You can bring them to Our Lady of Help Church on Duncan or Holy Family Church on Murray or to the radio station 520 James Street and we would be glad to get this stuff where it needs to go! The final product is delivered around the world to 22 different Countries in need. Other items to donate could be Ivory Soap, Lace and Buttons. What a great group! Let’s do what we can to help others and help the environment
Who would have thought saving Milk Bags might save lives!!!!
