Chatham-Kent Police were kept busy last night with a trio of men causing trouble under the influence.

Authorities say yesterday afternoon, a 62-year-old Chatham man was arrested for public intoxication in the Harvey Street area. He’s since been released from custody.

Two hours later, officers received another call, this time about a man who was passed out in the driver’s seat of his car. Police arrived to the car which was located in the downtown Chatham area. The man was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle (by drug), and has been released with a future court date.

And around 9:00pm last night, officers arrived to the Grand Ave East area where they found a man driving his car with a flat tire. They pulled him over and found he was under the influence of drugs. The 25-year-old Chatham man was arrested and released with a future court date.
