Uncle Tom’s Cabin are opening their door this weekend to kick off another season of fascinating history and unique heritage of Ontario’s Black community.

Site manager Steve Cook says with the municipality’s new CK plan for black history the cabin is able to work closely with their sister companies to develop the local black heritage narrative.

“It will develop new experiences for people  that want to come into the municipality and really have a hands on experience of what the black heritage is here in Chatham-Kent. Here at Uncle Tom’s Cabin we are developing a package called freedom riders.”

Uncle Tom’s Cabin is open today from noon until 4pm and Monday from 10am until 4pm.
