Entegrus is working to improve its system to prevent future outages like one in Wallaceburg over the weekend. 
The lights went out Saturday evening, affecting about 500 customers.
The utility says the outage was caused by a blown lightning arrester at a customer-owned station, which caused the Entegrus system to trip.
Officials say crews had trouble finding the third party equipment, which lead to some delays in getting the lights back on.
