Juno award-winning solo artist and Styx lead singer, Gowan, will hit The Colosseum stage on Friday September 7 at 9 pm.
Laurence Gowan, the Scottish-born Canadian Rock n’ Roll Hall of Famer has an impressive collection of 1980s hit singles such as “A Criminal Mind”, “You’re A Strange Animal” and “Moonlight Desires”. Gowan has had six Canadian Top 10 songs, earned two Juno Awards and four of his albums went Platinum. He is the recipient of multiple SOCAN Classic Awards recognizing 100,000 radio plays. Trained as a classical pianist, Gowan’s solo performance trades electronics for guitar-based singer-songwriter rock bringing his incredible energy and excitement to the stage.
With a career spanning decades as a solo performer, in 1999 Gowan was asked to join the classic rock band Styx as lead singer and keyboardist. He continues to record and tour with the band, playing up to 100 gigs every year and selling out shows across North America.
