The numbers have been crunched, and this year’s United Way of Chatham-Kent campaign has brought in $1.7 million dollars in donations – $1,707,707 to be exact.
Co-chairs Steve Pratt and Patricia Wright announced the total at the Links of Kent this morning.
The United Way had been expecting to come in a little shy of its goal of $1.9 million, and officials say they’ll be spending the next few weeks reviewing the organization’s programs and services.
