$10K In Drugs Seized in Wallaceburg

A stolen motorcycle lead police to a drug bust in Wallaceburg.

Officers on patrol came across the bike on Margaret Avenue shortly before 10 Sunday morning and confirmed it had been reported stolen.

As officers were investigating, the man who had been riding the bike returned, spotted police, and tried to run. However, he was quickly taken into custody.

A search of the suspect turned up an estimated $10,000 in drugs, including suspected fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine

The 43-year-old Walpole Island man was taken to police headquarters, charged with possession of stolen property, resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and was held for a bail hearing.
