More than 200 volunteers have signed up to help Chatham-Kent’s Miracle in May event.
Just three days after announcing the municipal wide one-day food drive, the organizing team says the 200+ helpers all applied to help online.
Team member Brent Wilken says different community committees have also formed across C-K.
“We had high expectations, but the amount that we have shown we have each other’s back here, has simply moved me,” says Wilken. “I am proud to be a part of this and more proud than ever to call Chatham-Kent home.”
The Miracle in May event asks all Chatham-Kent residents who are capable to put one canned good outside their front door at 12PM on May 16th. All donations will go to local food banks.
