23 New COVID Cases Identified in CK, Two More Outbreaks Declared

More cases of COVID-19 have surfaced in Chatham-Kent.

Today’s report from CK Public Health includes 23 new high-risk infections with the seven-day rolling average now sitting at 10 cases a day. 

Two new outbreaks have been declared. Public Health officials say nine cases have been identified at Chatham Retirement Resort and four at Blenheim Community Village. An outbreak at group home first declared on March 10th remains active with a total of seven cases. 

There are 10 COVID patients at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, four of whom are being treated primarily for the virus. 

There is one patient with COVID-19 in the hospital’s progressive care unit. 

Across Ontario, 611 people are now hospitalized with COVID-19, 174 of whom are in intensive care.
