$3.5 Million in Drugs Seized at the Bluewater Bridge

Canada Border Services is reporting a big drug seizure at the Bluewater Bridge in Point Edward.

Authorities say a commercial truck was waved into secondary inspection back on March 31st.

Upon inspection officers allegedly discovered 62 kilos of suspected cocaine. The street value was estimated at $3.5 million.

The driver, a 25 year old Brampton man was charged importation of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

He is being held in custody with an April 20th court date.
