Provincial Police are warning residents about two recent scams.
OPP say they’ve received several complaints about an e-mail scam where the write claims to be from Canada Post.
The e-mail says you’ve missed a home delivery and need to click some links so you can pick up your package.
Officers say Canada Post will never contact you by e-mail unless you’ve requested that service, and notices will normally be left at the door.
The other scam involves a phone call from someone claiming to be a lawyer or police officer, saying that a family member has been arrested.
The caller will then ask for a money transfer, pre-paid credit cards, or gift cards. Authorities say to call the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre or visit them online if you receive one of these calls.
