$4.4 Million in Cannabis Seized From Leamington Grow-Op

Four Greater Toronto Area residents have been arrested after a major drug bust in Leamington.

OPP officers and Leamington by-law officers carried out a search warrant at a Mersea Road 5 property on Thursday, seizing $4.4 million worth of cannabis.

In all, police seized 7600 plants in various stages of growth, 500 pounds of processed cannabis, and assorted growing equipment.

The four accused have been charged with Cultivate, Propagate or Harvest More Than Four Cannabis Plants, Contrary to the Cannabis Act of Canada and are scheduled to appear in court in Windsor at a later date.
