401 Remains Closed

Chatham-Kent OPP say the westbound lanes of the 401 will be closed until the investigation into a serious collision this morning is concluded.

According to police, two tansport trucks collided east of Tilbury around 11:30.

As a result of the collision, one driver has been transported to hospital via air ambulance with life-threatening injuries.

All westbound lanes of Highway 401 between the Tilbury South ONRoute and Mill Street are closed.

Police are on scene with Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and firefighters.
