Traffic is being re-routed off the 401 through Chatham-Kent this morning. 
The OPP have shut down the busy highway both east and westbound between Communication Road and Bloomfield for work on the hydro lines.
Authorities haven’t said when the stretch will reopen, in the meantime traffic is quite heavy along Park Ave in Chatham.
