A West Lorne man has been arrested on drug trafficking charges in Chatham.

Members of the Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Unit with support from the Community Patrol Branch pulled over a vehicle on Grand Avenue East Thursday as part of an ongoing investigation.

Authorities say a search turned up roughly $45,000 worth of fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine. The suspect was also found with digital scales, packaging materials, and about $2500 in cash.

One thing police say the accused was missing was a valid driver’s license.

The 27-yaer-old was taken to police headquarters and charged with four counts of driving while prohibited and three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The vehicle has been seized as part of the Criminal Code Vehicle Impound Program, and the man was released from custody with a date in court next month.
