A popular fundraiser has returned to support local Catholic students.
Officials with the St. Clair Catholic District School Board says proceeds from the 50/50 raffle will directly enhance learning experiences and provide students with essential resources.
A draw held this past spring raised more than $30,000, with retired Educational Assistant Bernadette Orrange taking the prize.
Officials say all money raised through the draw will support hands-on learning experiences for students, from classroom tools and outdoor education to field trips and school-wide projects.
“It’s exciting to see our communities come together in support of Catholic education,” said Lisa Demers, Director of Education, in a news release. “Whether you support one school or the whole system, your tickets help us to invest in innovative learning opportunities that truly inspire students.”
The draw will be held September 19.
