A Brampton truck driver is facing charges after border police seized 52 kilograms of cocaine at the Blue Water Bridge.
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) said a commercial truck entered Canada on December 4 at the port of entry in Point Edward. During an inspection, CBSA officers discovered boxes containing the suspected cocaine.
The driver, a 27-year-old Brampton man, was arrested and handed over to the RCMP.
He has been charged with importation of cocaine and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
The matter is currently before the courts in Sarnia.
