A special trivia night is helping out the Learning Disabilities Association of Chatham-Kent.
Last night’s event raised $820, which tutoring program facilitator Nicole Morais says the support is very timely.
“Things have been a little bit tough, some programs have been getting cut,” Morais says. “This will make up for wages and supplies and helping families that aren’t able to afford it and pay for it themselves.”
Morais says the fundraiser, held at the Links of Kent, is the most successful trivia night they’ve held so far with a dozen teams taking part.
The organization has helped countless kids since its inception in 1976 with tutoring programs and social skills.
