The number of COVID patients being treated at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance continues to rise. Officials say there are six local residents in care as of Monday morning, including two in the ICU.
Overall, Public Health is reporting six new cases of COVID-19 in Chatham-Kent since the last update on Friday. There were also seven resolutions, lowering the total number of active cases to 32.
Across Ontario, there are 639 new cases being reported today. Health Minister Christine Elliott says there are 204 people being treated for the virus in hospitals province-wide, along with another 151 in ICU.
Another chance for local residents to get vaccinated today with a pop-up clinic being held at Con-Agra in Dresden until 5pm. Public Health staff will be giving out first and second doses, as well as answering any questions or concerns people may have about the vaccine.
The Salvation Army is hosting a pop-up clinic on Orangewood Boulevard in Chatham from 10am-4pm on Tuesday. There’s also a mobile clinic being held tomorrow at the Bothwell Library from 4-8pm.
