You are running out of time to get your dog tags in Chatham-Kent.
The deadline to purchase your dog tags for this year is March 31st.
The tag will run you $28 if the dog has been spayed or neutered, and $38 if not. If you are late it’s an extra $10, and if you don’t get one and get caught, that’s a $240 fine.
Dog owners can pick up their 2021 tags at any municipal office, the Chatham-Kent Animal Shelter on Park Avenue East in Chatham, or online through PAWR.
Each year, about 10,000 tags are sold, with proceeds going to shelter operation, animal control, and pet adoption services.
