7 New Cases, 11 Recoveries Over Weekend In C-K, No Cases In Hospital

CK Public Health is reporting seven new cases of COVID-19 and 11 recoveries over the weekend.
The active case count drops from 32 on Friday, to 28 as of Monday afternoon.
The Chatham-Kent resident who was being treated in hospital has also been released. There are now no local residents in hospital with the virus.
The health unit does have a school outbreak declared at Winston Churchill Public School in Chatham after two positive cases connected to the facility in recent weeks. However, classes continue as usual and officials say they don’t believe there is any additional impact to the school.
Three workplace outbreaks also remain active in the municipality.
Chatham-Kent has now had a total of 480 cases, 449 recoveries and three deaths. With a population of approximately 105,529 (as of 2017), 0.45% of Chatham-Kent residents have tested positive for the virus.
Province wide, Ontario is reporting another single-day record 1,589 new cases, incouding 336 in Toronto, 535 in Peel and 205 in York. Windsor-Essex is confirming 56 new cases with 13 in Middlesex-London.
