
Charges have been laid after a local senior citizen was assaulted in Tilbury.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a section of Young Street at around 5 p.m. on Monday after a dispute between two men escalated into violence.
During the incident, a 70-year-old Tilbury man suffered a minor injury when he was assaulted by another man. The victim did not require medical attention.
Following an investigation, a 41-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with assault. He was later released and will answer the charge in court at a later date.
