70 year old to swim for the YMCA

70 year old Ian Rutherford will celebrate his birthday by swimming 100 laps to raise money for the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign. Rutherford has been a longtime member of the YMCA and wants to give back to the organization that allowed him to take part in swimming lessons and team sports as a kid.

The swim-a-thon will take place this Thursday from 12:00-1:00PM at the Y in Chatham.

Rutherford has already raised 1,000 dollars in pledges. Donations are still being accepted at the Y’s front desk.
