The outbreak at Tilbury Area Public School has been cleared, keeping the number of elementary schools in outbreak at six.

18 cases have now been linked to a recent wedding, and 17 cases connected to a manufacturing plant.

Overall, Public Health is reporting 77 new COVID infections since the last update on Friday. Weighed against 45 cases resolved, there are now 164 active cases of the virus in Chatham-Kent.

At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, 15 patients are being treated for COVID-19, six of whom are in the ICU and four on ventilators.

Of the COVID patients in care, hospital officials say four are fully vaccinated.

ICU occupancy now sits at 90%, while the hospital’s medical, surgical, and critical care beds are 89.7% filled.
