Wind Brings Flood Potential

Residents along the great lakes shorelines are going to be watching the weather vane tonight and tomorrow.

According to the LTVCA, strong winds are forecast for the rest of the week, and if they come off the lake, there could be some serious flooding and erosion.

At this point, winds are expected to be out of the northwest, which is good for Lake Erie but bad for Lake St. Clair. Waves could reach a meter or more on the smaller lake, and create some damaging conditions.

Residents are urged to use caution when they are near the water edge.
