One of Wallaceburg’s largest employers is celebrating a milestone.
Aarkel Tool and Die celebrated its 40th anniversary over the weekend.
Chairman Iqbal Kassam says the organization is like a family.
“I like a community which number one, is committed to hard work; number 2, that acts as a family when they’re working so they’re happy people,” Kassam explains. “I say happy employees make happy customers make happy shareholders.”
President Larry Delaey says the company has a bright future in the community.
“We have a lot of opportunity for different positions from engineering, accounting, tool making, machinists,” Delaey says. “A lot has changed in the past 10, 15, 20 years and it’s going to continue to change with the automation. Computers, automation, technology is really driving the business today.”
The staff were given a bonus from the company, sharing in $110,000.
