Nicole Snobelen make dream dresses for girls going through long term illnesses or other struggles through her Abby Girl campaign.
Snobelen says she started designing the dresses last year based on what the girls want, and delivers the dresses free of charge.
“I was overwhelmed by the responses of people saying their children were really sick or knew people in the hospital that were sick and in the hospital for Christmas. That really just touched my heart and wanted to help and knew that I could. At the time I could only afford to do three dresses and last year in May I decided to do the fashion show to raise money and last year we raised over 5,000 dollars. ”
There’s a fashion show at Willow Ridge Golf Course in Blenheim tonight from 6-9pm.
