A woman wanted in connection to a shoplifting incident last fall is back in police custody.
Chatham-Kent Police first arrested the 28-year-old accused on September 8, 2022, on charges of theft and possession of stolen property. The woman was released with a court date later that month, but failed to appear and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Just before 1 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, the accused was located on McNaughton Avenue in Chatham. She was taken to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
