“Active” COVID-19 Cases Very Limited In C-K Outside of Greenhill

There are no new cases of COVID-19 reported for Tuesday.
CK Public Health and Dr. David Colby continue to remind Chatham-Kent residents the local COVID-19 situation appears to be under control.
Despite the recent outbreak at Greenhill Produce in Kent Bridge, the current ‘active’ case load in Chatham-Kent is very limited.
There are currently 51 confirmed cases connected to the outbreak at Greenhill. One of those cases is now considered to be recovered. 50 remain ‘active’.
In total, 54 cases in C-K are currently ‘active’ – meaning only four current cases are ‘active’ outside of the outbreak. 34 patients have recovered.
There ARE 16 patients in hospital currently awaiting test results. But the CKHA reminds residents those 16 patients aren’t in the hospital for COVID alone. They’ve been tested due to several reasons connected to the broadening of the testing capacity locally and across the province. Positive cases and patients at CKHA also aren’t necessarily Chatham-Kent residents.
A total of 1,894 tests have been conducted. 27 tests are currently pending.
